Keratitis is a condition that causes your eyes to feel gritty and sore. It can also blur your vision.

Symptoms of keratitis can be particularly painful. The condition can be treated. Normally there is no lasting damage to your vision or your sight.

Keratitis occurs when the transparent layer at the front of your eye­ (your cornea) becomes swollen and sore.
