What is Astigmatism?

Astigmatism

Astigmatism is a common eye condition that causes blurred vision. It can be responsible for eye strain, headaches and tiredness if left untreated.

A common symptom of the condition is distorted vision. Astigmatism can be easily treated and managed.

Astigmatism occurs when the layer of tissue at the front of your eye (the cornea), or your eye's lens, isn't perfectly curved. Instead, it is oval-shaped. This can cause your eye to bend light incorrectly, resulting in blurred vision.
