Mr Sim is a highly skilled Ophthalmologist. Having graduated from the prestigious University of Cambridge in 2014, Mr Sim undertook run-through ophthalmic training in the coveted North London Deanery where he gained extensive training in all aspects of ophthalmology, sub-specialising in uveitis and medical retina.
He is currently a Locum Ophthalmology Consultant and fellow at world renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital where he performs a variety of procedures including complex lens surgeries, intravitreal injections and retinal lasers. He supervises ophthalmology trainees learning cataract surgery and nurse practitioners in A&E. He has been a faculty member of University College London/Moorfields Microsurgical Skills Course and was previously an examiner for UCL.
Mr Sim has a strong interest in cataract and refractive surgery. He holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery (Merit) and has been awarded the Certificate of Laser Refractive Surgery by the Royal College of Ophthalmologist.
In terms of research, Mr Sim has published over 15 papers in peer-reviewed journals and have presented his work both nationally and internationally. He has been involved in international ophthalmic trials and is currently a peer reviewer for multiple international research journals providing him insight to the latest research areas.
