Mr Huba Kiss
Mr Huba Kiss is an experienced ophthalmic surgeon with a special interest in cataract surgery, performing in excess of 3,850 cataract/ IOL procedures and over 10,500 eye surgeries overall. After gaining his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2009, he took on a residency in ophthalmology at the prestigious Semmelweis University in Budapest whilst simultaneously completing his Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in the topics of femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery and dry eyes.
Having received extensive cataract, refractive and corneal training at Semmelweis University, Mr Kiss now holds a number of prominent posts, including Assistant Professor in the Department of Corneal and Refractive Surgery at Semmelweis University.
Over the course of his career, Mr Kiss has co-authored over 35 academic publications on ophthalmology in various esteemed journals, including the Journal of Cataract & Refractive Surgery (JCRS). He has been awarded several awards and prizes, most recently receiving the Award of the Hungarian Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.
Mr Kiss holds a membership at various leading organisations, including the European Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) and the Hungarian Ophthalmological Society.
He is currently the Deputy Medical Director at Optical Express.
