Mr Hesham Badra

Mr Badra is a highly skilled eye surgeon with over eighteen years of experience delivering exceptional refractive outcomes.

His surgical career began following his first degree in Medicine and Surgery from Tanta University in Egypt, where he honed his skills during a residency at Cairo’s esteemed Ahmed Maher Teaching Hospital.

After achieving his master’s degree in Ophthalmology in 2009, Mr Badra spent time expanding his professional expertise in the Middle East before relocating to the UK in 2019. There, he undertook his FRCS Ophthalmology qualification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Over the span of his career, he has achieved a fellowship in medical retina and cataract surgery, while actively contributing to various local presentations and research projects. Mr Badra is deeply committed to expanding knowledge within his field, providing mentorship to medical students, junior doctors, and nurses in ophthalmic care.

Currently, Mr Badra performs lens replacement surgeries at Optical Express clinics in Bristol and Cardiff, where patients benefit from his unparalleled expertise and compassionate approach to care.
