There was a mix of work, play and a little extra red last week at the Optical Express offices in Glasgow. The staff at St. Vincent Street and Cumbernauld offices was showing their support for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day by collecting donations through hosting a bake sale to raise money for the charity event. Inspired by Comic Relief’s mission to drive positive change and make a tangible difference in the world, the staff at Optical Express came together to rise to the occasion. Red noses were being worn with pride, delicious tray bakes were in hand, and over £435 was donated to help people in need across the United Kingdom and around the world.
Our stores also joined in on the action, with balloon arches, even more red noses, and some interesting poses (thanks to the staff at our Barnsley location). Even though Red Nose Day might only occur every two years, we made it count in more ways than one.
