Rebecca works at one of Glasgow's busiest hospitals in the accident & emergency department. She was one of lucky patients to receive free laser eye surgery as part of our ‘Thanks a Million’ campaign.

Rebecca had worn glasses on and off throughout her life, but after the birth of her song and a diagnosis of hydrocephalus, her vision had worsened. 

After this diagnosis, she struggled with her vision and needed glasses for everything including watching TV, driving and reading. 

Rebecca also worried about losing or breaking her glasses during her long shifts in A&E. 

Following her surgery, Rebecca now has better than 20/20 vision. She said,

"If it's something you're considering, I would definitely get it. I've got better than 20/20 vision - all the staff have been amazing so I really can't fault them at all."
