Only Optical Express patients who have paid for, and completed their own treatment at Optical Express are eligible to refer a friend or family member.  A valid “Refer a Friend” voucher must be presented at the time of your friend’s (the referee) initial consultation in order to validate the referral. There is no limit to the number of people you can refer. You must create a separate online voucher for each friend you wish to recommend.

Valid until date stated on voucher which will be emailed to you (the referrer) upon completion of the online refer a friend form (your friend or family member must have booked a surgery date on or before this date to qualify for the Refer a Friend reward). The referrer will receive a £100/€100 payment only once the person they have referred has completed surgery.

Payments are made via electronic bank transfer and will be sent by HSBC bank. We share your name, mobile telephone number and email address with HSBC in order for it to administer payments and this is done through HSBC’s portal. Following a successful referral, you will receive an SMS message from Optical Express confirming that someone you recommended has undergone treatment and that you can now claim your referral fee. This SMS message will also include a unique registration code. You will then receive an email from HSBC containing instructions on how to claim your reward and asking you to register using the unique registration code received by SMS. You will be asked to provide bank details for the account you wish the referral reward to be paid into. This process will be repeated each time you make a successful referral. The referrer will receive a £1,000/€1,000 payment once they have referred a total of 10 patients who have all completed surgery.  This payment of £1,000/€1,000 will supersede the normal £100/€100 reward for the 10th successful referral made by the referrer. We aim to make referral payments within 30 days from the date that the person referred completes their surgery. Subsequent referrals 11 to 19 will receive a referral fee of £100/€100 each and the 20th referral will receive £1,000/€1,000, and so on. All referred patients must have received treatment after 30/09/2021 for the referrer to be eligible for the £1,000/€1,000 reward. Referral reward only applicable to laser eye surgery values of £3,000/€3,000, or above and lens replacement surgery of £5,000/€5,000, or above after discount has been applied. Price dependent on prescription. There is no option to receive cashback or refund to the value of the reward. Only a person (the referrer) who has paid for and completed their own treatment at Optical Express is eligible to refer a friend or family member; a Refer a Friend voucher must be presented at the time of your friend's initial consultation in order to validate the referral; there is no limit to the number of people you can refer; you must create a separate online voucher for each friend you wish to recommend; £300/€300 discount applies to laser eye surgery and lens surgery excluding phakic lens surgery. Offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other marketing promotion. Discount is not available to those who have already booked their treatment prior to obtaining the referral voucher; the Refer a Friend reward or discount cannot be redeemed if the referred patient received a private insurance discount (Aviva, Bupa etc.); Refer a Friend is not open to employees of Optical Express or their immediate family; Optical Express reserves the right to withdraw or change this promotion at any time.
