Optical Express has launched a Sports, Social, and Charity Committee as the eye care provider continues its commitment to investing in its colleagues, as well as the wider communities it serves.
The Committee’s purpose is to bridge the gap between social activities and work by holding a range of events for Optical Express colleagues to enjoy, as well as a dedicated function to streamline all charity activity across the company.
Activities organised so far includes a pub quiz team, a weekly running club, 7-a-side football, and a breakfast club, where healthy morning foods such as cereal, yogurts, and fruits are provided every Friday.
The Committee also centrally supports the company’s commitment to charitable giving, coordinating activity across the company’s 125 clinic network as well as its corporate offices in Glasgow and Cumbernauld. Every colleague at Optical Express is encouraged to get involved in fundraising either by taking part in dress down days, being supported to undertake challenges for charity or through events set up individually by clinics.
