CONSULTANT OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Clare is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with more than 20 years of dedicated expertise in ophthalmology. She completed her degree in Neuroscience in 1996 before qualifying as a Doctor of Medicine and Surgery in London in 1999, laying the foundation for a distinguished career in eye care.
She undertook extensive specialist training through the prestigious South West Thames and West London Ophthalmology Rotations, gaining broad clinical and surgical experience across leading NHS hospitals, including East Surrey Hospital, The Royal Eye Unit at Kingston Hospital, Ealing Hospital, Central Middlesex Hospital, Western Eye Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. This diverse training has equipped Clare with exceptional expertise in the diagnosis, management, and surgical treatment of a wide range of eye conditions.
Committed to advancing both clinical practice and ophthalmic research, Clare was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from City University in 2009. She further achieved Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) in 2013, earning recognition as a specialist in ophthalmology.
Clare is passionate about providing personalised, patient-centred care, taking the time to understand everyone’s needs while striving to achieve the very best clinical and visual outcomes. She is known for her compassionate approach, clear communication, and dedication to helping patients feel informed and confident throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of her professional life, Clare enjoys playing the piano and oboe and spending quality time with her family.
