CONSULTANT OPHTHALMOLOGIST
Mr Almousa is a highly accomplished consultant ophthalmologist with
extensive expertise in corneal surgery, refractive surgery and oculoplastics. He specialises in presbyopia correcting intraocular, lens surgery laser vision correction, cataract surgery, corneal transplantation and a comprehensive range of ophthalmic procedures, bringing a breadth of surgical experience that is rare in the field.
Having qualified in medicine from the University of Damascus, Mr Almousa pursued his ophthalmic training across leading centres in the United Kingdom, Singapore and beyond, completing specialist fellowships in cornea, anterior segment and refractive surgery at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, and in oculoplastic surgery at the National University Hospital, Singapore. This international training has given him a truly global perspective on eye care.
Mr Almousa has held consultant positions at some of the UK’s most respected NHS institutions, including Moorfields Eye Hospital, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and the Wellington Hospital, London. Throughout his career he has been committed to raising standards of patient care, introducing new clinical pathways and surgical techniques at each institution he has joined.
Mr Almousa holds the Certificate in Laser and Refractive Surgery (CertLRS) and has undertaken advanced LASIK, LASEK, SMILE and presbyopia correction training, including dedicated courses at the London Vision Clinic and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is committed to continuous professional development and regularly attends international meetings and symposia to ensure his patients benefit from the very latest advances in vision correction.
