Mr Muhammad Cheema is an accomplished ophthalmologist with
a robust background in eyecare spanning general practice and
specialised clinics. After earning his medical degree from King Edward
Medical University in Lahore, he advanced his academic credentials
with a master’s degree from the University of Anglia in the UK. He
subsequently retrained as a General Practitioner before embarking
on a focused Ophthalmology Specialty Training program, where he
developed expertise across multiple ophthalmic disciplines.
Mr Cheema holds distinguished fellowships, including the Fellow
of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) and Fellow
of the European Board of Ophthalmology (FEBO). He also earned
a postgraduate certificate in Strategic Leadership in Public Health
Services, underscoring his commitment to healthcare leadership and
service excellence.
His clinical practice is complemented by a strong academic portfolio,
featuring numerous peer-reviewed publications and presentations at
prestigious national and international ophthalmology conferences.
He actively contributes to medical education through teaching roles
and course leadership, notably spearheading a nationally recognised
FRCOphth revision course for ophthalmology trainees across the UK.
