Mr Malik is a highly experienced consultant ophthalmologist whose extensive surgical training across the United Kingdom and Ireland has equipped him with broad and versatile skill set in eye care. He specialises in cataract surgery, premium lens replacement surgery for vision correction, glaucoma management and a wide range of other ophthalmic procedures.
Having qualified with distinction throughout his medical education, Mr Malik undertook his postgraduate surgical training across a number of leading ophthalmology centres in Ireland and the UK, gaining extensive experience across multiple sub-specialities, including cataract, cornea, glaucoma, laser care, medical retina, ocularplastics, paediatrics and vitreous and retina care.
Mr Malik has held consultant positions at several NHS hospitals, most recently serving as Consultant Ophthalmologist at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, where he led busy cataract, glaucoma and laser clinics, general ophthalmology, alongside regular surgical theatre sessions.
His commitment to professional development is demonstrated by his ongoing attendance at international conferences and seminars, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), and the Annual Congress of Ophthalmology. He has also contributed to the wider ophthalmological community through published research in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national and international meetings.
Mr Malik completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery at Ulster University under the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
