Juwairiya is a GOC registered optometrist, graduating from Glasgow
Caledonian University in 2022. Throughout her education Juwairiya
underwent Hospital clinical placements in Royal Surrey Hospital and New Victoria Hospital.
She gained extensive experience in her earlier optometry career including dispensing, adjustments, patient support and screening before joining Optical Express in 2025 as a Core & Telemedicine Optometrist. She is competent in urgent eye care, post-operative management, cataract pathways, paediatric assessment and complex binocular vision cases.
Her role at Optical Express enables Juwairiya to conduct remote
examinations including refractive assessments and virtual surgical
suitability consultations. She has focused in on her skills such
as interpreting diagnostic results and provide evidence-based
recommendations for refractive surgery pathways.
Confident and skilled, Juwairiya has an abundance of experience with
paediatric, neurological and complex eye conditions which she trained for during her Orthoptics degree at the Glasgow Caledonian University which she successfully completed in 2019. With dual qualifications in Optometry and Orthoptics enables Juwairya to offer a unique depth of diagnostic and specialist clinical expertise
