Elly is an experienced optometrist, completing her Optometry degree
in Cardiff University in 2020 and then went on to further education in
Cardiff University to achieve her PgCert in Independent Prescribing in
Optometry.
She began her optometry career in Rickmansworth in August 2020 and progressed her knowledge and skills in a clinic and locum setting until she joined the Optical Express in January 2025.
In 2019, Elly volunteered in Malawi, Africa as a volunteer optometrist where she provided eye health and care to rural communities. She commented that this “experience was extremely rewarding” and enabled her to gain life and communication skills that she has carried to this day.
Working in our clinic in Cardiff, South Wales, Elly undertakes
comprehensive eye consultations and pre and post operative refractive and cataract surgery care as well as using advanced diagnostic technology that we hold within our clinic to interpret and monitor patients’ visual
outcomes.
