Working with Optical Express for over 15 years’, Optometrist David is a pivotal player in our expert multidisciplinary team, working his way up from the shop floor to now currently working as a clinical services optometrist.
David had an interest in optometry long before he qualified from Glasgow Caledonian University as a mature student in 2014. In the course of his 15 years, David has also been a key asset within our Surgery Support team, where he assists our Ophthalmic surgeons by preparing patients laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.
In 2019, David received his Independent Prescribing (IP) certificate, enabling him to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye doctor at a hospital.
