A highly experienced ophthalmic surgeon who specialises in femtosecond laser-assisted lens replacement and cataract surgery, Dr Bader is considered by his peers and patients to be an expert in the field of corrective eye surgery. He has treated thousands of patients during his career.
Dr Bader graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degree and went on to specialise in ophthalmology. He then moved to the UK, where he accepted the post of Clinical Attachment in the Eye Department of the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.
Having undertaken further study at Dublin University, he completed his surgical training at Edinburgh University before taking up an Ophthalmic Senior House Officer post at the Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry.
Dr Bader has extensive experience in ophthalmology, having worked in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast, Royal Victoria Eye Hospital in Dublin and the Royal Victoria Infirmary Hospital in Newcastle.
He has also had extensive additional training in ophthalmology and corrective eye surgery including an advanced LASIK course at Moorfields Eye Hospital and courses in LASIK and EPILASIK
