Hi my name is Jillian. I had laser eye surgery four weeks ago. I have to say I’m delighted with it. I was extremely short-sighted – my prescription was -9, so I noticed the difference immediately. I had virtually no after-effects of the surgery.

I decided to get it done because a close friend had had it done and spoke very highly of it. I’ve had no regrets.

I guess the thing that I’ve probably noticed the most so far is that when you wake up in the middle of the night you can look at the clock and actually see the time without having to reach for your glasses. And I’m really looking forward to going on holiday being able to not have to worry about having my glasses on for long flights, or to go swimming without having to think about it.

I know it’s quite intimidating and scary for some people to think about the actual procedure but it was nothing. I would absolutely recommend anyone to go for it. Just go for it.
