I’m Desmond, and I’ve had laser eye surgery done in the past two or three weeks and for me, it is wonderful. To say that it’s life transforming would be an understatement. Everything has been improved – it’s incredible.

Driving, for instance, something that we do every day, is so important. For example this morning, the weather is so atrocious that it would have made it so much more difficult to drive had I still been wearing spectacles. It’s life transforming. I would recommend it to anybody and everybody. I think it’s truly marvellous.

I would have said, to begin with, that I didn’t want anybody interfering with my eyes. That was a big, kind of a psychological barrier. But I think that I had become so fed up with glasses, having to change them every so often, they’re expensive, they’re cumbersome on the face, having to always adjust them, having to look down at my nose when I’m reading then at the same time I have to readjust quickly if I’m looking into the distance. I couldn’t recommend it more highly. It’s just truly wonderful.
