As an experienced Ophthalmic Surgeon, Mr. Minos has performed over 10,000 laser treatments since graduating in 2003. He is also a very experienced user of the femtosecond laser (IntraLase) and has carried out over 4,500 femtosecond procedures to date.

Mr. Minos was born in Greece and lives in Dublin with his family. He is fluent in Greek, English and French. He is on the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register as well as the General Medical Council Specialist Register in the UK.

Following graduation from the University of Crete Medical School in 2003, he performed his training in ophthalmology at the B' Ophthalmology clinic of the Hospital of Athens "Ophthalmiatreion" and the ophthalmology clinic of the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete. In 2004, Mr. Minos studied alongside Prof. I. Pallikaris at the Vardinoyannion Eye Institute of Crete. Prof. Pallikaris is renowned as the first ophthalmologist to perform LASIK on a human eye in 1989.

During his residencies, Mr. Minos underwent specialist training in ophthalmology and gained extensive experience with procedures including LASIK, Cataract Surgery, Oculoplastics and Medical Retina treatments.

Since achieving his certification, Mr. Minos has worked at the Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust, and did a fellowship on glaucoma at the Royal Cornwall Hospital NHS Trust. At the Royal Cornwall Hospital, he helped run the age-related macular degeneration (AMD) clinic. He has also volunteered his services for the non-profit organisation Aegean Doctors in Megisti and Santorini, and for the global organisation Unite for Sight in India.

Mr. Minos attends International Medical Advisory Board (IMAB) Conferences twice every year, and is annually assessed by this board. The panel consists of several of the world's most eminent Refractive Surgeons including Mr. Steve Schallhorn, former Head of Ophthalmology for the US Navy and Professor Jan Venter, a world leading ophthalmic surgeon.
