The IntraLase laser is precisely focused to a point within the cornea, where thousands of microscopic bubbles are formed.
IntraLase can be part of the LASIK eye surgery procedure and is an alternative method of creating the protective flap at the beginning of LASIK treatment. IntraLase creates the flap using a precision laser instead of a mechanical method.
Optical Express is the only nationwide provider in the UK to use the IFS™150 Intralase treatment technology in every clinic. No matter what any other nationwide provider tells you about their technology they simply cannot match Optical Express.
The IFS™150 takes Intralase laser eye surgery to a whole new standard of speed and control. The IFS™150 supercedes the FS60 used by most other UK providers and offers:
With more treatment centres than any other provider in the UK you won’t be far away from this unmatched technology. Why not book your consultation to see if you would be suitable for this life-enhancing treatment?

The IntraLase laser is precisely focused to a point within the cornea, where thousands of microscopic bubbles are formed.
IntraLase enables the Surgeon to precisely design and control many aspects of the flap such as thickness, its circumference, and the angle of its edges, effectively tailoring the protective flap to the eye.
The surgeon gently lifts the flap to allow for the excimer laser treatment. The IntraLase procedure is complete when the protective flap is securely repositioned on its bevelled edge.
IntraLase surgery offers a range of benefits, including:
Faster healing and recovery rates than standard methods of creating the protective flap.
Improved precision and visual results of your LASIK surgery, whether you choose a standard or Advanced CustomVue procedure.
IntraLase allows surgeons to tailor the corneal flap for each individual patient, and each individual eye.
Patients with steep, flat or thin corneas - some of whom are not eligible for LASIK/LASEK surgery performed with a standard microkeratome - may benefit from IntraLase.
