The Health and Safety Regulations stipulate that employers have the duty to ensure the provision of an appropriate eye examination at regular intervals for all employees using display screen equipment. If glasses are required, employers are obliged to contribute towards these costs.

In addition, employers are also obliged to supply employees with adequate information about all aspects of Health and Safety relating to their workstation.
