Highly experienced Optometrist Oscar Janez-Lopez qualified in his home country of Spain in 1994 and has participated in numerous research projects that have been included in international publications.
Working as an optometrist at Optical Express for the last 8 years, Oscar is now an important member of the renowned team based at our state of the art flagship treatment clinic in Southampton. Oscar enjoys a varied role involving a multitude of tasks such as assessing patient’s pre and post-surgery, checking their suitability for refractive procedures and general optometry.
Oscar is also qualified as an Independent Prescribing Optometrist, enabling him to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye Doctor at a hospital. He has also taken an active role within the surgery support team which enables him to provide better care throughout the patient journey.
