Karina studied and qualified at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2020. She works as an Optometrist in our state of the art clinic in Edinburgh and is a key member of our multidisciplinary team.
Working alongside experienced clinicians who have helped Karina develop in her role, specialising in refractive surgery which enables her to provide better care to her patients. Day to day Karina diagnoses and treats a full range of eye disease as well as performing pre and post-operative consultations for patients receiving refractive surgery. She enjoys working across different clinics, working with colleagues and helping a diverse range of patients achieve better vision.
Karina is currently working towards receiving her Independent Prescribing (IP) qualification, once complete she will be able to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye doctor at a hospital
