Working with Optical Express for over 16 years, Optometry Development Manager Claire Milne is an important member of the renowned team based at our state of the art flagship treatment clinic in Glasgow.

Working as our Optometry Development Manager for the last 5 years, Claire enjoys a varied role involving a multitude of tasks such as assessing patient’s pre and post-surgery, checking their suitability for refractive procedures and playing a key role in the training and development of Optometrists within her region, ensuring that they adhere to best clinical practices. 

Claire practices as our lead Surgery Support Optometrist in Glasgow, where she assists our Ophthalmic Surgeons by preparing patients for their laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.

Claire is also qualified as an Independent Prescribing Optometrist, enabling her to manage many eye conditions at community level without the need to refer patients to an eye Doctor at a hospital. She has also taken an active role as a keen mentor to up and coming optometry students.
