A highly renowned Optometrist with almost 40 year’s industry experience, Barrie Collins has an advanced skill-set that allows him to diagnose, treat and research a full range of eye diseases.
Working as one of Optical Express’ Optometrists since 2009, Barrie completes a multitude of daily tasks such as assessing patients’ pre and post-surgery and checking their suitability for refractive procedures. As well as this, Barrie also has an active interest in cataract and lens replacement surgery which he utilises through assisting our Ophthalmic Surgeons with cataract and refractive lens exchange patients.
He has contributed to multiple medical publications and research projects and has presented his research at both national and international conferences. He was elected Vice President of the British Society of Refractive Surgery, where he served for a number of years, becoming a highly respected member of his field.
