Andras Szigeti

Mr Andras Szigeti is a fully qualified medical practitioner in his native Hungary, with vast experience in optometry.

After obtaining his medical degree from Hungary in 1998, Andras developed a highly advanced skill-set leading him to become a specialist within the field of optometry. He has completed a number of extensive qualifications, including the Independent Prescribing course, sponsored by Optical Express, which has allowed him to expand his knowledge and provide his patients with a higher level of service and care.

Andras is part of the surgery support team, where he assist our Ophthalmic Surgeons by preparing patients for laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures. He is also YAG certified which enables him to perform YAG capsulotomy procedures.

In order to stay on top of the latest developments in optometry, Andras regularly attends national and international research seminars and has previously been invited as a guest speaker. He has also been involved in multiple scientific research projects, many of which have won notable awards and industry recognition.
