After obtaining his BSc (Hons) in Optometry from Bradford University in 2014, Optometrist Amir Afzal has since enjoyed an extensive career where he has expanded his clinical knowledge and expertise to provide his patients outstanding levels of care and service.
Since joining Optical Express in 2018, Amir has become a valued member of the team, providing a diverse range of services including pre and post-surgery consultations and checks for patients who have had a refractive surgery procedure. He is a key asset to our Surgery Support Team and provides clinical support to our Ophthalmologists by preparing patients for their laser eye, cataract and lens replacement surgery procedures.
Continuously working on his professional development, Amir has completed a multitude of advanced clinical training certificates over the years including qualifications in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening, Glaucoma and Post-Operative Cataract accreditations, as well as Medical Retina and the Independent Prescribing qualification, which allows him to manage eye conditions at community level.
